How to make a RP Handle

As promised this is my fully How tp make a RP Handle Tutorial. It is easy for a first-timer.
As for me, I use the fabric (heavy cotton) because it is easy to sew and neat. I'm not using any batting but for you, the option is there.

Materials

1. Cut the following.

Outer

a) 19.5” x 14” ~ 2 pieces
b) 5.5” x 14” ~ 2 pieces
c) 20” x 5” ~ 2 pieces for handles
d) 5.5” x 5.5” ~1 piece for pocket

Lining

I'm going to use light interfacing for lining.

a) 19.5” x 14” ~1 piece
b) 5.5” x 5.5” ~1 piece for pocket
c) 20" x 2.5" ~2 pieces for handle. This is an option, depends on the type of fabric you will use.

Making The RP Handle

1) Prepare the pocket

Sew the lace (accessories). Combine the fabric with interfacing.

2. Prepare the handle

Fold the handles 20" x 2.5" and sew. I love to double the line of stitches because it will look nice. Then you will get the handles for your RP.

3. Prepare the inner layer

These are the inner of the RP. Sew the b) 5.5” x 14” ~ 2 pieces like this. I put the label on the second piece and the label will be on the back of your finish item. Hurm...this method i use to separate the right and left pieces.

4. Assemble the pocket with the outer layer.

Sew the pocket.
5. Assemble all the pieces.

Interfacing below the outer layer.

Then the handle is between outer layer and inner layer. Make sure use the back of the inner layer.

And sew along those pieces with 1/4" seam. After that flip all the layer like this...

Then sew all along the end to have a neat finish item.

And......This is your finish RP Handle.

Ready to use for all teacher.. :-)
